Behind Bardolino, one of the most renowned Italian tourist resorts, is Cavaion Veronese, land of soft rolling hills covered with vineyards and olive groves. The chroniclers of the fourteenth century sustained that the best wines in Italy came from here. Today's gourmands consume the wine and olive oil with the local asparagus.
