All year round, life among the Euganean Hills seems to pass unchanged and unchangeable, as though time had stopped among the hermitages and the inaccessible old castles. But the roots of this charm go even deeper into the past: the Thermae were indeed the cradle of the local civilization, the old protagonists of a form of tourism that was not crowded, though it was inspired and stimulated by health purposes which today are perfectly integrated in the modern concept of leisure.
